Google has launched it’s social search service that brings relevant web content written by people in your social circle.
Google defines one’s social circle as a combination of Gmail chat buddies, your Gmail contacts friends, family and co-worker groups, and people you’re publicly connected to on other social sites (such as Twitter and FriendFeed) – based on one’s profile details.
With Social Search, you’ll be able to more easily find relevant public content from your social circle, including the following:
- Websites, blogs, public profiles, and other content linked from your friends’ Google profiles.
- Web content from social services, such as tweets and reviews, that your friends have listed in their Google profiles.
- Relevant articles from your Google Reader subscriptions.
Once you join the experiment, you will see the ‘results from your social circle’ at the bottom of the page.
